Musée de la Vie romantique


This hidden treasure, Musée de la Vie romantique and its gardens, can be found right off the metro stop Pigalle. The museum is located in the house of the painter Ary Scheffer that was built in 1830 and offers a precious setting of paintings created by Ary Scheffer himself. The residence and its courtyards have retained all of their original charm. In the museum's garden, the seasonal tearoom, a real haven of peace open from March to October, is a great place for a tasty snack.
